SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 7
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  David Clark Craig
 
         WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with
  the passing of Dr. David Clark Craig of Henderson on May 5, 2017,
  at the age of 74; and
         WHEREAS, David Craig was born on November 8, 1942, in
  Thorold, Ontario, Canada, to Matthew and Edith Craig; after
  embarking on a career in ophthalmology, he relocated to the
  United States, and in 1978 he settled in Henderson; he owned and
  operated Craig Eye Care Associates for more than three decades
  and also treated patients in nearby communities, such as Kilgore
  and Carthage; he held membership in the Texas Medical
  Association, the American College of Surgeons, and the American
  Academy of Ophthalmology; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan gave generously of his time
  and expertise through his involvement in the Kiwanis Club of
  Henderson, and he was active in the Henderson Civic Theatre,
  often appearing in the group's productions; moreover, he was a
  congregant at Saint Matthew's Episcopal Church; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Craig and his wife, Linda, shared a rewarding
  marriage that spanned more than 50 years; he was the proud father
  of five children, John, Matthew, Thomas, Sarah, and Margaret, and
  he also took great delight in his 11 grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Although Dr. David Craig will be deeply missed,
  he has left his family and friends with a wealth of memories that
  they will forever treasure; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Dr. David Clark Craig and extend heartfelt sympathy to his
  loved ones; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this day, it do
  so in memory of Dr. David Craig.
