R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Reynaldo Montanaro Sr. of Brownsville is retiring
  from the Office of the Attorney General of Texas on August 31, 2017,
  drawing to a close a notable career with the agency that has spanned
  nearly three decades; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Brownsville and raised in Coatzacoalcos,
  Veracruz, Mexico, Rey Montanaro attended the Marine Military
  Academy in McAllen and graduated from the Colegio La Salle in
  Coatzacoalcos; he subsequently earned a bachelor's degree in
  criminal justice; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Montanaro joined the Office of the Attorney
  General in 1990 as a child support officer; he went on to serve as an
  ombudsman and supervisor, and he is retiring as manager of the
  Brownsville office of the Child Support Division; over the years,
  he has consistently earned the respect and admiration of his
  supervisors and coworkers for his dedication, his attention to
  detail, and his leadership; he is the recipient of many awards and
  recognitions; and
         WHEREAS, This dynamic Texan has also been a successful
  entrepreneur; he created Blue-Ribbon Pet Grooming, a business that
  he recently sold, and he co-owns the Montanaro Property Group, a
  real estate investment firm that he established with his son Rey;
  and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Montanaro enjoys the love
  and support of Aida Montanaro, his wife of 33 years, as well as that
  of his four children, Aida, Rey, Carmen, and Fernando; he delights
  in the time he spends with his grandchildren, Rey, Andrea, and Mia;
  and
         WHEREAS, Rey Montanaro's unfailing professionalism and
  commitment to excellence have greatly benefited his fellow Texans,
  and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent as he
  embarks upon the next exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Reynaldo
  Montanaro Sr. on the occasion of his retirement from the Office of
  the Attorney General and extend to him sincere best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Montanaro as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
