R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jared Brown of Boy Scouts of America Troop No. 507 |
|
|
in Borger has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this |
|
|
accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Eagle Scout badge is a significant honor |
|
|
bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the scouting |
|
|
movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding criteria, |
|
|
Mr. Brown earned 36 merit badges and successfully completed an |
|
|
Eagle Scout project to organize a retirement ceremony at Fritch |
|
|
City Park for more than 300 flags; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Shannon and Michelle Brown, this fine |
|
|
young Texan is a sophomore at West Texas A&M University; he has |
|
|
demonstrated outstanding leadership ability throughout his |
|
|
scouting career, serving his peers as a den chief, patrol leader, |
|
|
and troop guide; he is also a member of the prestigious Order of the |
|
|
Arrow; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Brown's dedication to excellence and his |
|
|
perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy to |
|
|
stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with pride |
|
|
on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Jared Brown of |
|
|
Boy Scouts of America Troop No. 507 on achieving the rank of Eagle |
|
|
Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Eagle Scout Brown as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
