R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Taylor Wood of Panhandle High School was presented |
|
|
with the Lone Star FFA Degree at the 89th annual Texas FFA State |
|
|
Convention held July 10-14, 2016, in Corpus Christi; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The highest degree of membership awarded at the |
|
|
state level, the Lone Star FFA Degree recognizes members who have |
|
|
distinguished themselves by demonstrating exceptional commitment |
|
|
to the organization as well as outstanding leadership skills; in |
|
|
addition to completing the agricultural science course |
|
|
requirements, recipients must also maintain a supervised |
|
|
agricultural experience program, perform community service, and |
|
|
participate in a number of events, conventions, meetings, and |
|
|
activities above the chapter level; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Taylor Wood has brought great pride to her family, |
|
|
school, and community, and she may indeed look with optimism and |
|
|
anticipation toward the myriad opportunities that lie ahead; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Taylor Wood on |
|
|
her receipt of the Lone Star FFA Degree and extend to her sincere |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Wood as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
