R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The members of the Era High School girls' |
|
|
4x400-meter relay team achieved great distinction by capturing the |
|
|
2A gold medal at the 2017 University Interscholastic League Track & |
|
|
Field State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at |
|
|
Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 13, Briana Knabe, Katie Kolb, |
|
|
Raegan Dietz, and Kylie Howard turned in an exceptional |
|
|
performance, clocking in at 3 minutes, 56.94 seconds, to claim |
|
|
first place in the event; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, these fine young Texans ably |
|
|
represented their school, and they will cherish their memories of |
|
|
this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate the members of |
|
|
the Era High School girls' 4x400-meter relay team on winning the 2A |
|
|
gold medal at the 2017 UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to the |
|
|
athletes sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
