R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Hunter Dooley of Graham High School achieved great |
|
|
distinction by capturing the gold medal in the 4A boys' shot put |
|
|
event at the 2017 University Interscholastic League Track & Field |
|
|
State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at |
|
|
Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 12, Mr. Dooley turned in an |
|
|
exceptional performance, recording a throw of 54 feet, 2.25 inches, |
|
|
to claim first place in the event; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, Hunter Dooley has ably |
|
|
represented his school, and he will cherish his memories of this |
|
|
outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Hunter Dooley |
|
|
on winning the gold medal in the 4A boys' shot put event at the 2017 |
|
|
UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to him sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Dooley as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
