R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Elizabeth Eguía-García has been named executive |
|
director of the Maestro Entrepreneur Center and vice president of |
|
small business for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter and granddaughter of small business |
|
owners, Elí Eguía-García brings to her new positions a wealth of |
|
knowledge and experience from her two decades in the nonprofit |
|
sector, during which time she worked in fund-raising and public |
|
relations for both public and private organizations; and |
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed professional holds a bachelor's |
|
degree from Our Lady of the Lake University and a master's degree |
|
from St. Mary's University; in addition, she completed executive |
|
leadership programs with the Harvard University Kennedy School of |
|
Government and the National Hispana Leadership Institute; and |
|
WHEREAS, Over the years, Elí Eguía-García's dedication and |
|
commitment to excellence have greatly benefited her fellow Texans, |
|
and the expertise she has acquired along the way will serve her well |
|
as she takes on these challenging new roles; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Elizabeth |
|
Eguía-García on being named executive director of the Maestro |
|
Entrepreneur Center and vice president of small business for the |
|
San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and extend to her sincere |
|
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Eguía-García as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
