R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Doug Cuny has served with distinction as Democratic |
|
|
Party precinct chair of Precinct 1151 in House District 95; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Precinct chairs are integral to the success of their |
|
|
party's mission to elect public servants who will build a better |
|
|
state and nation for today's citizenry and for generations to come; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Because public policy affects our daily lives, |
|
|
individuals must exercise their right to vote, and precinct chairs |
|
|
play an important role in the election process; their efforts to |
|
|
inspire voters to support their party's candidates are part of a |
|
|
proud and vital political tradition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, It is most appropriate that we take this opportunity |
|
|
to recognize an outstanding Texan who has devoted time and energy |
|
|
toward promoting such goals of the Democratic Party as representing |
|
|
the interests of working families, fighting for equal |
|
|
opportunities, and advancing a more just and inclusive society; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Doug Cuny for |
|
|
serving as Democratic Party precinct chair of Precinct 1151 in |
|
|
House District 95 and extend to this dedicated community leader |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Doug Cuny as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
