R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, For 75 years, residents of Leander have come |
|
|
together to celebrate their faith at the Leander Church of Christ; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since its founding, the Leander Church of Christ has |
|
|
played a vital role in the lives of its members, providing them with |
|
|
myriad opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, and |
|
|
outreach; its numerous ministries include LIFE Groups and a food |
|
|
pantry that is one of the few in the Austin area to be open in the |
|
|
evening; the church also conducts Spanish-language worship |
|
|
services and Bible classes and supports a number of missions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Congregants of the Leander Church of Christ have |
|
|
long benefited from the dedicated efforts of their elders, deacons, |
|
|
and ministers, and the devoted service of those individuals |
|
|
continues to support and nurture this vibrant church community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sustained by a common purpose and inspired teaching, |
|
|
the members of the Leander Church of Christ have reached a momentous |
|
|
milestone in the life of their congregation, and it is a pleasure to |
|
|
join with them in celebrating this special occasion; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commemorate the 75th |
|
|
anniversary of the Leander Church of Christ and extend to all those |
|
|
associated with the church sincere best wishes for the future; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the church as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
