R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Katy Independent School District Financial |
|
|
Services Department has distinguished itself by earning a |
|
|
Transparency Star from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Transparency Stars program recognizes local |
|
|
government entities that go above and beyond in their efforts to |
|
|
make information about their spending and revenue easily accessible |
|
|
to the public; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By providing useful data, figures, and analysis, |
|
|
Katy ISD garnered a Transparency Star in the area of Traditional |
|
|
Finances; in addition to meeting a host of other criteria, awardees |
|
|
in this category must post online thorough and recent financial |
|
|
summaries as well as visual tools showing trends in revenue, |
|
|
expenditures, and property tax rates, and they must also make |
|
|
updated budgets and financial reports available for download; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Katy Independent School District has |
|
|
demonstrated an unwavering commitment to fiscal responsibility and |
|
|
clarity, and it is indeed a pleasure to honor the district for its |
|
|
noteworthy achievements; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate the Katy |
|
|
Independent School District Financial Services Department on its |
|
|
receipt of a Transparency Star for Traditional Finances from the |
|
|
Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to the district |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success in its important work; |
|
|
and, be it further |

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Katy ISD as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
