R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Katharine Tyson has been named valedictorian of the |
|
|
Class of 2017 at San Jacinto Christian Academy, and she indeed |
|
|
merits special recognition for receiving this significant honor; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; Ms. Tyson demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of |
|
|
this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable |
|
|
high school career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of David and Sheri Tyson, Ms. Tyson |
|
|
gained the opportunity to address her fellow seniors at |
|
|
commencement and to reflect on their shared history as well as their |
|
|
hopes and ambitions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During her years at San Jacinto Christian Academy, |
|
|
Katharine Tyson earned the respect and admiration of both her |
|
|
teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and |
|
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and |
|
|
promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Katharine |
|
|
Tyson, valedictorian of the Class of 2017 at San Jacinto Christian |
|
|
Academy, and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success as she begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Tyson as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
