R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, No words can ease the pain caused by a life cut
  short, but all those who shared in the love and friendship of Rudy
  Segura Jr. of Waxahachie may find comfort in their treasured
  memories of this special young man, who passed away on July 1, 2017,
  at the age of 16; and
         WHEREAS, Known affectionately as "Mijo" or "Little Rudy,"
  Mr. Segura was born in Duncanville on April 3, 2001, to Rudy Alan
  Segura and Gina Lenor Martinez Segura, and he was the protective
  brother of two sisters, Kayla and Aleigha; and
         WHEREAS, This athletically gifted young Texan was a student
  at Palmer High School, where he was a member of the football team
  and also excelled at weight lifting; in his free time, he enjoyed
  cooking and took great delight in his 1996 GMC short-bed truck;
  above all else, he deeply cherished his family; and
         WHEREAS, Although his days were far too few, Rudy Segura made
  a positive and lasting difference in the lives he touched, and he
  will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those fortunate
  enough to have known him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Rudy Segura Jr. and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his
  family: to his father, Rudy Segura Sr., and his wife, Tena; to his
  mother, Gina Segura, and her husband, James Russell; to his
  grandparents, Minerva and Richard Segura; to his sisters, Kayla
  Rios and her husband, Pete, and Aleigha Russell; to his aunts and
  uncles, Jerry and Donna Segura, Richard Lee and Misty Segura,
  Maryanne Martinez, and Janie and Thomas Watkins; and to his other
  relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rudy Segura
  Jr.
