R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at |
|
the tragic loss of Caleb Spencer Neal of Waxahachie, who passed away |
|
on June 30, 2017, at the age of 22; and |
|
WHEREAS, The beloved son of Richard Neal and Winnie Neal, |
|
Mr. Neal was born in Dallas on June 3, 1995, and he grew up with the |
|
companionship of his brother, Matthew, and his sister, Tiffany; he |
|
graduated in 2014 from Waxahachie High School, where he was |
|
salutatorian of his class, a member of the National Honor Society, |
|
and a three-year drum major in the band; at the time of his passing, |
|
he was pursuing an engineering degree at Texas Tech University and |
|
had plans to attend seminary to earn a master's degree in worship |
|
ministry; and |
|
WHEREAS, Deeply committed to his faith, Mr. Neal lived a life |
|
of joy and treated others with unfailing kindness and respect; a |
|
valued member of the Waxahachie Bible Church, he served with its |
|
children, youth, and worship ministries, and he also participated |
|
in the college worship band at First Baptist Church in Lubbock; and |
|
WHEREAS, Caleb Neal immeasurably enriched the lives of all |
|
who had the good fortune to share in his love and friendship, and |
|
they will forever carry him close in their hearts; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory |
|
of Caleb Spencer Neal and extend deepest condolences to his loved |
|
ones and to his many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Caleb Neal. |
