Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on -S/C Border Security was held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, in the Betty King Committee Room at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 8:00 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

Senator Hall moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

 

Also present at the hearing were Senator Rodríguez and Senator Estes.

 

Invited testimony was provided by:

- Mr. Steven McCraw, Director, representing Texas Department of Public Safety.

- Major General John Nichols, Texas Adjutant General, representing Texas Military Department.

 

There being no further business, at 9:50 AM Senator Birdwell moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
