Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rules 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Economic Development was held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.012, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. There being a quorum present at 9:10 a.m., the following business was transacted:

 

Chairman Estes made opening remarks regarding Interim Charge no. 1, regarding the implementation of federal Environmental Protection Agency regulations.

At 9:02 a.m., Chairman Estes opened invited testimony. Witnesses are shown on the attached list. At 2:28 p.m., the chair moved that the invited testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

 There being no further business, at 2:30 p.m., Senator Estes moved that the Committee stand in recess subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
