Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Senator Nelson's Desk.

The chair called the meeting to order at 2:21 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

Senator Hinojosa assumed the chair.

 

Senator Nelson moved to reconsider the vote by which CSHB 32 was reported out of the Senate Finance Committee.  Without objection, it was so ordered.

 

Senator Nelson moved to withdraw the committee substitute that was adopted and voted out of committee. Without objection, it was so ordered.

 

Senator Nelson sent up a new committee substitute; the chair recognized Senator Nelson to explain the difference between the committee substitute and the house bill as engrossed. Senator Nelson moved adoption of the committee substitute; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

Senator Nelson moved that HB 32 do not pass but that CSHB 32 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 12 ayes, 1 nay, 0 present not voting, and 2 absent.

 

Senator Nelson resumed the chair.

 

There being no further business, at 2:24 PM Senator Jane Nelson moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
