Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Water & Rural Affairs was held on Monday, May 23, 2016, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.012, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 11:01 AM. There being a quorum present at 11:03 AM, the following business was transacted:

 

The following members arrived after the roll was called:

The chair laid out the following interim committee charge:

Study and make recommendations regarding the ownership, production, and transfer of surface water and groundwater in the state of Texas.

 

The following persons provided invited testimony: see attached witness list.

 

 

There being no further business, at 3:20 PM Senator Perry moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
