Pursuant to a notice posted on May 21, 2015, the House Committee on Juvenile Justice & Family Issues met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Dutton, at 9:15 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Dutton; Riddle; Rose; Sanford; and White, James.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

SB 108

 

The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

The chair laid out SB 108 as pending business.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

The chair moved that SB 108, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Dutton; Riddle; Rose; White, James (4).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   Representative Sanford (1).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Hughes; Peņa (2).

 

SB 550

 

The chair laid out SB 550 as pending business.

 

The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

The chair moved that SB 550, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Dutton; Rose; Sanford; White, James (4).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   Representative Riddle (1).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Hughes; Peņa (2).

 

 

At 9:30 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
