Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 23, 2015, the House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the acting chair, Representative Jessica Farrar, at 6:44 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Farrar; Clardy; Laubenberg; Schofield; Sheets; and Thompson, Senfronia.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

SB 531

 

The chair laid out SB 531, the companion to HB 562.

 

Representative Thompson, Senfronia moved that SB 531, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Clardy; Laubenberg; Schofield; Sheets; Thompson, Senfronia (5).

 

Nays:                           Representative Farrar (1).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Smithee; Hernandez; Raymond (3).

 

At 6:45 p.m., on the motion of Representative Farrar and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
