Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 13, 2015, and permission granted on May 13, 2015, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Smithee, at 1:26 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Smithee; Farrar; Clardy; Hernandez; Laubenberg; Raymond; Schofield; Sheets; and Thompson, Senfronia.

Representative Schofield moved that SB 735, the companion to HB 969, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays:                           Representatives Farrar; Hernandez; Raymond; Thompson, Senfronia (4).

SB 824

 

The chair laid out SB 824, the companion to HB 1122, as pending business.

 

Representative Clardy moved that SB 824, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
