Pursuant to a notice posted on May 1, 2015, and with permission granted on May 6, 2015, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Government Transparency & Operation met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Elkins, at 5:33 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Elkins; Walle; Gonzales, Larry; and Turner, Scott.

The chair laid out HB 1137 as pending business.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

The chair moved that HB 1137, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
