Pursuant to a notice posted on September 27, 2016, the House Committee on General Investigating & Ethics met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Kuempel, at 10:09 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Kuempel; Hunter; Larson; and Turner, Chris.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

The committee met to address the following interim charge:

Examine the use by state agencies of emergency leave settlement payments to provide supplemental compensation to departing employees.  Recommend any revision or clarifications to the law necessary to ensure taxpayer dollars are being used prudently.
