Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 20, 2015, the House Committee on Elections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Laubenberg, at 1:09 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Laubenberg; Goldman; Fallon; Israel; Phelan; and Schofield.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

SB 1034

 

The chair laid out SB 1034, the companion to HB 2028.

 

Representative Israel moved that SB 1034, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Laubenberg; Goldman; Fallon; Israel; Phelan; Schofield (6).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representative Reynolds (1).

 

SB 1041

 

The chair laid out and explained SB 1041.

 

Representative Fallon moved that SB 1041, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

SB 1041

 

Representative Israel moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

Representative Fallon moved that SB 1041, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Laubenberg; Goldman; Fallon; Phelan; Schofield (5).

 

Nays:                           Representative Israel (1).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

SB 1073

 

The chair laid out SB 1073, the companion to HB 3110.

 

Representative Schofield offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Schofield moved that SB 1073, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
