Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 5, 2015, the House Committee on Economic & Small Business Development met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Button, at 12:29 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Button; Johnson; Faircloth; Isaac; Metcalf; Rodriguez, Eddie; and Vo.

 

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out HB 2772 as pending business.

 

Representative Faircloth moved that HB 2772, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Button; Johnson; Faircloth; Isaac; Metcalf; Rodriguez, Eddie; Villalba; Vo (8).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representative Anderson, Charles "Doc" (1).

 

SB 805

 

The chair laid out SB 805, the Senate companion to HB 2996.

 

Representative Rodriguez, Eddie offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Villalba moved that SB 805, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Button; Johnson; Faircloth; Isaac; Metcalf; Rodriguez, Eddie; Villalba; Vo (8).

 

Nays:                           None (0).
