Pursuant to a notice posted on April 8, 2015, the House Committee on International Trade & Intergovernmental Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Anchia, at 8:14 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Anchia; Anderson, Rodney; Bernal; Burrows; and Koop.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

The chair began discussion of the posted agenda of invited testimony only on the topic of International trade in agriculture, including trade with Cuba.

The chair laid out HB 1543 as pending business.

 

Representative Bernal moved that HB 1543, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Anchia; Anderson, Rodney; Bernal; Burrows; Koop (5).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Lozano; Turner, Scott (2).

 

HB 2214

 

The chair laid out HB 2214 as pending business.

 

Representative Anderson, Rodney offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Anderson, Rodney moved that HB 2214, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
