LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 2, 2015

TO:
Honorable Charles Schwertner, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB1999 by Menéndez (Relating to adult day care.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code, Health and Safety Code, and Human Resources Code to change references to facilities providing adult day care from  "adult day-care" facilities to "day activity and health services" facilities. The Department of Aging and Disability Services estimates there would be a minimal costs associated with updating databases to reflect the name change. It is assumed these costs could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
