HB972 by Geren (Relating to reporting of expenditures by persons registered as lobbyists.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Government Code to set the reporting requirement for lobbying expenditures  at no more than $50 per day. The Ethics Commission anticipates that any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
