SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 5
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the First Aid for Drug-Free Living Campaign and
  Drug-Test Kit Initiative, a collaborative effort of Southern
  Denton County communities to prevent drug abuse and addiction in
  the region; and
         WHEREAS, The First Aid for Drug-Free Living Campaign
  represents the efforts of the Cities of Lewisville, Flower Mound,
  and Highland Village, along with area law enforcement agencies,
  select retailers, and drug-prevention organizations; and
         WHEREAS, The initiative aims to educate parents in the
  communities in the Lewisville Independent School District
  vicinity about ways to help their children stay drug free; and
         WHEREAS, As part of the initiative, participating
  organizations have developed 5 Things Every Parent Needs to Know
  About Drug Abuse, a booklet to help parents to identify signs of
  drug use, talk to their children about drug use and addiction,
  and know when and how to drug test their children; and
         WHEREAS, This beneficial campaign will help motivate
  residents to become active participants in local anti-abuse
  programs and will promote safe, healthy, drug-free communities
  in Southern Denton County; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  84th Legislature, hereby commend those who are contributing to
  the First Aid for Drug-Free Living Campaign and Drug-Test Kit
  Initiative and extend best wishes to all participants for its
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as an
  expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
