R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Members of the Sunset Advisory Commission staff have
  provided vital assistance to the 84th Texas Legislature in its
  review of the University Interscholastic League; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1977, the Sunset Advisory Commission
  periodically reviews the policies and programs of more than 150
  government agencies, with the goal of identifying and eliminating
  waste, duplication, and inefficiency; in addition to questioning
  the need for each agency, it considers innovative changes to
  improve the agency’s operations and activities; and
         WHEREAS, Under the leadership of Sunset Advisory Commission
  agency director Ken Levine, staff team members responsible for
  review of the University Interscholastic League include project
  supervisor Jennifer Jones, project manager Emily Johnson, and
  Steven Ogle; they have each demonstrated the utmost professionalism
  in connection with the consideration of the sunset review of UIL,
  and demonstrated extraordinary thoroughness, expertise, and
  willingness to be available at all hours during the sunset process;
  and
         WHEREAS, During the sunset review of the University
  Interscholastic League, the Sunset Advisory Commission adopted
  several management recommendations intended to further strengthen
  and enhance the operations of UIL to benefit the students and
  faculty it serves; and
         WHEREAS, These praiseworthy staffers of the Sunset Advisory
  Commission uphold high standards of public service, and through
  their exceptional skill and dedication, they have contributed
  immeasurably to the efficiency and accountability of state
  government; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend the Sunset Advisory Commission staff
  members on the University Interscholastic League review team for
  their outstanding work and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the commission staff as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
