R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Betty Lanfer of Coppell passed away on March 25,
  2015, at the age of 86, leaving her circle of family and friends to
  cherish their many happy memories of time spent in her company; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Benjamin and Marie Burnett,
  Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Burnett was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana,
  on November 17, 1928; while working for American Airlines in Fort
  Worth, she met her future husband, William Anthony Lanfer; and
         WHEREAS, The couple married in 1953, and during the course of
  a richly rewarding union, they became the proud parents of six
  beloved children, Amy, Bill, Jane, Paul, Mary, and John; over the
  years, their family continued to grow with the addition of six
  grandchildren, Angela, Brian, Chase, Chad, Brittany, and Anna, and
  six great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Lanfer founded Sacred Heart Books and Gifts in
  Dallas in 1979, and the store remains successful today; a devout
  Catholic, she was honored with the Cardinal Mindszenty Motherhood
  Award in 1998; and
         WHEREAS, Betty Lanfer led a rich and purposeful life centered
  around her faith and her family, and she will long be remembered
  with deep affection by all who were privileged to know her; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Betty Lanfer and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
  daughters, Amy Prejean and her husband, Louis, and Jane Smith and
  her husband, Rick; to her sons, Bill Lanfer and his wife, Kathy, and
  Paul Lanfer; to her grandchildren, Angela Begue Hammett, Brian
  Begue, Chase Lanfer, Chad Lanfer, Brittany Gauntt, and Anna Chmiel;
  to her six great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Betty
  Lanfer.
