R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Gabriela Zamora is graduating from Pasadena Early |
|
|
College High School on June 4, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In undertaking the rigorous PECHS curriculum, |
|
|
Ms. Zamora has completed an accelerated course of study in which |
|
|
she has earned both a high school diploma and an associate's degree |
|
|
from San Jacinto Community College; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Zamora came to the United States at the age of |
|
|
eight; initially frustrated by the difficulty of communicating in a |
|
|
new language, she mastered English and embraced other challenges as |
|
|
well in order to take advantage of every opportunity that her new |
|
|
country provided; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During her years at PECHS, this accomplished young |
|
|
Texan has distinguished herself through her skill and |
|
|
determination, and the knowledge and confidence she has acquired |
|
|
along the way will serve her well in the years to come; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gabriela Zamora on her graduation |
|
|
from Pasadena Early College High School as a member of the Class of |
|
|
2015 and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Zamora as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
