R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Daniela Urias has ably served her fellow Texans as |
|
|
an aide in the district office of State Representative Joe Moody |
|
|
during the 84th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Urias has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained |
|
|
valuable experience in the field of public service; her duties |
|
|
included serving as a constituent liaison and contributing to |
|
|
immigration-related issues; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of El Paso, Ms. Urias is studying political |
|
|
science and international relations at The University of Texas at |
|
|
El Paso, where she is a member of the Excel Program and the Student |
|
|
Government Association; she devotes her free time to painting, |
|
|
reading, and community service, and her career goals include |
|
|
working at the United Nations or in the diplomatic service as an |
|
|
ambassador; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
|
duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Daniela Urias for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the district office of State Representative Joe |
|
|
Moody and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in |
|
|
all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Urias as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
