R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Charles William McMillon has ably served as senate |
|
messenger and legislative intern in the office of Senator Donna |
|
Campbell during the 84th Legislative Session; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since coming to work in the senate, Mr. McMillon has |
|
provided assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging |
|
tasks; in addition, he has had an opportunity to learn more about |
|
the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone |
|
Star State, and he has gained valuable experience in the field of |
|
public service; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. McMillon graduated in December 2014 from Jasper |
|
High School, where he also took part in a dual credit program at |
|
Angelina College; during his years at Jasper High, he served his |
|
classmates as vice president of the National Honor Society and |
|
participated in the school's cross-country and varsity golf teams; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of proud parents William and Laura McMillon |
|
and the brother of John and Henry McMillon, Mr. McMillon is a native |
|
of Jasper County and an avid outdoorsman, and he has embraced his |
|
talent for farming and ranching; outside of school, he has |
|
volunteered his time with such worthwhile endeavors as the |
|
Southeast Texas Food Pantry and charity 5K runs in his community; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his |
|
duties as a senate messenger and intern with skill and dedication, |
|
and he is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; |
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Charles William McMillon on his |
|
graduation from high school and commend him for his service in the |
|
Texas Senate during the 84th Legislative Session; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. McMillon as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
