R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Robinson High School Symphonic Band performed at
  the University Interscholastic League State Wind Ensemble Festival
  held in Austin on May 2, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, The UIL State Wind Ensemble Festival is a unique
  event designed to showcase the top music programs in Texas;
  participants are invited to play for a live audience in a formal
  setting and subsequently participate in a clinic directed by a
  nationally recognized conductor; and
         WHEREAS, Guided by director Bob Vetter, the Robinson High
  School band had the honor of performing a program at the Bates
  Recital Hall at The University of Texas at Austin; the experience
  was made even more special when oboist Kaylah Williamson and
  tubaist Austin Vetter were selected from the ensemble as
  Outstanding Performers and were presented with gold drape medals;
  and
         WHEREAS, An invitation to perform at the UIL State Wind
  Ensemble Festival is a testament to exceptional talent, hard work,
  and an unyielding commitment to excellence, and this achievement by
  the Robinson High School Symphonic Band is a source of great pride
  to the entire community; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Robinson High School Symphonic
  Band on its performance at the 2015 UIL State Wind Ensemble Festival
  and extend to its members and director sincere best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the ensemble as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
