R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Marisol Martinez is graduating as the valedictorian |
|
|
of the senior class of Collegiate High School in Corpus Christi in |
|
|
2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; Ms. Martinez has demonstrated a |
|
|
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her |
|
|
favorites being mathematics and science; in addition, she |
|
|
participated in numerous extracurricular activities, including the |
|
|
school newspaper, the running team, and National Honor Society; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Cristobal and Reina Martinez, |
|
|
Ms. Martinez plans to continue her education by enrolling at Texas |
|
|
Tech University to study architecture; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Marisol Martinez |
|
|
has earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and |
|
|
classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and |
|
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless |
|
|
opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Marisol Martinez, valedictorian of |
|
|
the Class of 2015 at Collegiate High School in Corpus Christi, and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she |
|
|
begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Martinez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
