R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the North East Bexar County Democrats are |
|
|
gathering on May 7, 2015, for their annual Dining with Democrats |
|
|
fund-raiser; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since its founding, this noteworthy organization |
|
|
has been guided by faith in freedom, democracy, and principles of |
|
|
good government; its members are committed to supporting the right |
|
|
to vote and expanding participation in the electoral process; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The organization seeks to ensure that all Texans can |
|
|
reach their full potential; accordingly, it promotes broader |
|
|
opportunity through policies that advance quality public |
|
|
education, affordable health care, meaningful employment, clean |
|
|
air and water, and prosperity; it also works in behalf of secure, |
|
|
tranquil communities and a safety net for the most vulnerable; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through their dedication to the concept of honest, |
|
|
ethical government that fairly serves the public interest, the men |
|
|
and women of the North East Bexar County Democrats are making a |
|
|
lasting difference in their city, state, and nation, and they may |
|
|
take justifiable pride in their contributions; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor the North East Bexar County Democrats on |
|
|
the occasion of its 2015 Dining with Democrats event and extend to |
|
|
its members sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
