R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Doriana Torres has ably served the people of Texas
  as a Mexican American Legislative Leadership Foundation Fellow and
  legislative aide in the office of State Representative Mary
  González during the 84th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 2003 by the Mexican American
  Legislative Caucus, the MALLF Fellowship program provides a unique
  opportunity for Latino college and university students to garner
  firsthand experience in the functions and operations of the Texas
  House of Representatives; participants gain a deeper understanding
  of how state government works and become better equipped to serve
  the communities they represent; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Jennifer Torres and Bruce Edwards,
  Doriana Torres is a graduate of The University of Texas at El Paso,
  where she completed her master's degree in history; and
         WHEREAS, Diligent and resourceful, Ms. Torres has skillfully
  handled a variety of duties in the office of State Representative
  González and ably assisted in meeting the needs of constituents,
  and she may reflect proudly on her service as a legislative aide;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Doriana Torres for her tireless
  dedication and exemplary work as a participant in the Mexican
  American Legislative Leadership Foundation Fellowship program and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Torres as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
