R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A number of noteworthy Houston area students are |
|
|
being honored at the Reginald Keith Guillory Scholarship banquet on |
|
|
April 18, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Recognizing young men and women who have |
|
|
distinguished themselves through their academic pursuits, the |
|
|
awards were established in memory of Reginald Keith Guillory, a |
|
|
graduate of Forest Brook High School and an active member of Mount |
|
|
Pleasant Baptist Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This year's honorees are Ivori Blow, Rachel |
|
|
Cockrell, Kianna Hawkins, and Sapphire Scott; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, These outstanding young Texans have demonstrated a |
|
|
commendable dedication to their studies, and they are a source of |
|
|
great pride to their families and peers; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the honorees of the 2015 Reginald |
|
|
Keith Guillory Scholarship and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the honorees as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
