R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A number of noteworthy Houston area students are |
|
|
being honored with a 2015 Reginald Keith Guillory Scholarship; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Recognizing young men and women who have |
|
|
distinguished themselves through their academic pursuits, the |
|
|
awards were established in memory of Reginald Keith Guillory, a |
|
|
graduate of Forest Brook High School and an active member of Mount |
|
|
Pleasant Baptist Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This year's scholarship recipients are Angelique |
|
|
Bailey, La Quar Blow, Jamal Carr, Lorie Ford, Paul Lumas III, Ashlee |
|
|
McClellan, and Brajae' Taylor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, These outstanding young Texans have demonstrated a |
|
|
commendable dedication to their studies, and they are a source of |
|
|
great pride to their families and peers; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the 2015 recipients of a Reginald |
|
|
Keith Guillory Scholarship and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the scholarship recipients as an expression of high |
|
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
