R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Alexandra Babino was named Educator of the Year at |
|
|
the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Luncheon on |
|
|
January 27, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, the Lewisville chamber celebrates the |
|
|
achievements of individuals and businesses who have made notable |
|
|
contributions to the organization or who have otherwise benefited |
|
|
their fellow citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The inaugural winner of the Educator of the Year |
|
|
honor, Ms. Babino is an instructor in the Bilingual Learning |
|
|
Enrichment Academic Program at Central Elementary School, where she |
|
|
has worked for seven years; this esteemed teacher has demonstrated |
|
|
a strong commitment to excellence in the classroom and a |
|
|
willingness to become actively involved in the lives of her |
|
|
students, often visiting with their families and attending the |
|
|
children's extracurricular events; a native of Kingwood, she holds |
|
|
bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of North Texas, |
|
|
and she is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in language, |
|
|
literacy, and bilingual education at UNT; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her exceptional efforts, Alexandra Babino |
|
|
has furthered Lewisville's reputation as a great place to live, |
|
|
work, and raise a family, and she is indeed deserving of this |
|
|
prestigious award; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Alexandra Babino on being named |
|
|
Educator of the Year by the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Babino as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
