A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the minimum standards applicable to an abortion |
|
|
facility. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 245.010, Health and Safety Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(b-1) The minimum standards adopted under Subsection (a) |
|
|
must address physical plant requirements, administrative |
|
|
requirements, staffing requirements, and facility protocols. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Not later than December 1, 2015, the executive |
|
|
commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission shall |
|
|
adopt any rules necessary to implement Section 245.010(b-1), Health |
|
|
and Safety Code, as added by this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. An abortion facility is not required to comply |
|
|
with minimum standards adopted under Section 245.010(b-1), Health |
|
|
and Safety Code, as added by this Act, before January 1, 2016. |
|
|
SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
