A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to turning a motor vehicle in an intersection; adding a |
|
|
provision subject to a criminal penalty. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 545.101, Transportation Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: |
|
|
(f) Notwithstanding Subsections (a), (b), (c), and (d), if |
|
|
two or more lanes are designated as turning lanes, an operator using |
|
|
a turning lane may not change lanes while making the turn. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
