A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the sale of dogs or cats by a roadside vendor in certain |
|
|
counties. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 285.001, Transportation Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: |
|
|
(d) The commissioners court of a county with a population of |
|
|
more than 425,000 and less than 500,000 by order may regulate the |
|
|
sale of dogs or cats by a vendor that occurs in the unincorporated |
|
|
area of the county and: |
|
|
(1) on a public highway or road; |
|
|
(2) in the right-of-way of a public highway or road; or |
|
|
(3) in a parking lot. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
