A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the registration fee for motor vehicles with a gross |
|
|
weight of 6,000 pounds or less. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 502.252, Transportation Code, is amended |
|
|
to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 502.252. FEE: VEHICLES THAT WEIGH 6,000 POUNDS OR |
|
|
LESS. [(a)] The fee for a registration year for registration of a |
|
|
vehicle with a gross weight of 6,000 pounds or less is $60.75 |
|
|
[$50.75], unless otherwise provided in this chapter. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 2016. |
