The Joint Interim Committee to Study the Recruitment of Firearms and Ammunition Manufacturers will meet on Wednesday, October 8 at 2:00 p.m. in the House Appropriations Committee Room, E1.030. The Committee will consider the following:

   • The economic activity generated by firearms and ammunition
     manufacturers in Texas and their effect on local communities;

   • The positive impact of the current economic and regulatory climate in 
     Texas on the recruitment of firearms and ammunition manufacturers;

   • The quality of jobs created by firearms and ammunition manufacturers;

     and

   • Any action that can be taken by the Texas Legislature to further
     incentivize these manufacturers to relocate to Texas, or to expand  

     their existing business.
