The Senate Committee on Business and Commerce will convene at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday May 16th, 2013, in the Capitol Extension Auditorium (room E1.004) to take up the following bills for consideration as new business;

Relating to an annual assessment on insurers for the examination of insurers; imposing an assessment.

Relating to the sale and advertisement of portable fire extinguishers.

HB 2460       Thompson, Senfronia     SP: Carona
Relating to the possession of stamps indicating the payment of taxes by certain permittees.

HB 2806       Geren                   SP: Van de Putte
Relating to delinquent payment of an alcoholic beverage retailer's account for liquor.

HB 2818       Sheffield, Ralph        SP: Carona
Relating to changing the wet or dry status of a justice precinct.

HB 3038       Anderson                SP: Carona
Relating to licensing and regulation of auctioneers; authorizing a fee.

HB 3096       Thompson, Senfronia     SP: Eltife
Relating to an exemption from the use of an emergency notification system by certain public service providers.

HB 3460       Eiland                  SP: Carona
Relating to the requirement that certain information be reported to the Texas Department of Insurance and the confidentiality of that information.

At the Chair's discretion, the Committee may also consider any pending business.

 

Written testimony of any length is welcome, please submit to the Committee staff 15 copies with your name and the bill number on each copy of the written testimony. Please provide an electronic version of written testimony at your earliest convenience. Please limit oral remarks to three minutes.
