Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Redistricting, Select was held on Friday, June 7, 2013, in the Corpus Christi, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 5:09 PM.

 

The clerk called roll. A quorum was present and the following business was transacted:

 

Representative Todd Hunter was present.

 

Members of the committee made opening remarks.

 

Congressman Ruben Hinojosa was present and make remarks.

 

The chair opened public testimony on SB 1, SB 2, SB 3, and SB 4. Witnesses testifying and registering on the bills are shown on the attached list. After all witnesses were heard, the chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

Representative Todd Hunter made remarks.

 

Representative J. M. Lozano was present and made remarks.

 

There being no further business, at 7:15 PM Senator Seliger moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
