Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Fiscal Matters was held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

Senator Nelson sent up a committee substitute to HB 3572. Senator Hegar moved adoption of the committee substitute; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

Senator Hegar moved that HB 3572 do not pass but that CSHB 3572 be reported back to the Senate Committee on Finance with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent.

 

Senator Hegar moved that HB 2100 be reported favorably to the Senate Committee on Finance with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent.

 

Senator Lucio submitted a motion in writing asking to be shown voting aye on the following bills:  HB 585, HB 1133, HB 1223, HB 2100, HB 2148, HB 2202, HB 2500, HB 2636, HB 2712, HB 2770, HB 2792, HB 3086, HB 3572 and HB 3536.  There was no objection.

 

The chair laid out as a matter of pending business HB 3536 by Senator Hinojosa.

 

Senator Hegar sent up Committee Amendment 1 and moved adoption; without objection, the amendment was adopted.

 

Senator Hegar requested unanimous consent to incorporate amendment 1 into the bill to create a committee substitute; without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Hegar then moved that the committee substitute be adopted; without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Hegar moved that HB 3536 do not pass but that CSHB 3536 be reported back to the Senate Committee on Finance with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent.
