Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Fiscal Matters was held on Monday, April 15, 2013, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:01 AM. The following business was transacted:

 

The chair laid out SB 1606 and recognized the author, Senator Zaffirini, to explain the bill.

Senator Hegar moved that SB 1151 do not pass but that CSSB 1151 be reported back to the Senate Committee on Finance with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 3 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 2 absent.

 

The chair laid out as a matter of pending business SB 1447 by Senator Hinojosa.

 

Senator Hegar moved that SB 1447 be reported favorably to the Senate Committee on Finance with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 3 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 2 absent.

 

The chair laid out as a matter of pending business SB 1533 by Senator Carona.

 

Senator Hegar moved that SB 1533 be reported favorably to the Senate Committee on Finance with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 3 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 2 absent.

 

There being no further business, at 10:09 AM Senator Hegar moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
