Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was held on Monday, May 20, 2013, at Senator Williams' Desk.

Senator Juan Hinojosa, the acting chair, called the meeting to order at 7:53 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

The subcommittee report on HB 2972 was laid out by Senator Hegar. Senator Patrick was recognized to explain the subcommittee report on HB 2972.

 

Senator Patrick moved that HB 2972 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 11 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 4 absent.

 

There being no further business, at 7:55 PM Senator Hinojosa moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
